In these troubled times, where can we find cause for hope? Responding to questions from Frédéric Lenoir and Leili Anvar, artists, thinkers, and writers trace paths for us to follow. These are all invitations: to cultivate indignation in the face of injustice with Stéphane Hessel; to embody living together in fruitful unity with Jean Vanier; to listen to a "voice of profound silence" with Sylvie Germain; to celebrate joy beyond the darkness with Magda Hollander-Lafon; or, following the words of the poet Salah Stétié, to each add a little more humanity to humanity… These testimonies, as well as the exemplary life of Etty Hillesum recounted by Karima Berger, carry an unexpected hope.
