With the National Front on the rise, the energy transition in decline, global warming amid widespread indifference and helplessness, the disintegration of social cohesion against a backdrop of crisis, unemployment, and widespread suffering, and politicians' inability to act or offer credible hope to younger generations... While the 2014 election year crystallized all the tensions and intolerances, journalist Olivier Le Naire conducted 10 major interviews with 10 high-level figures—famous or not, all recognized in their fields—so that they could deliver their diagnosis and propose remedies to cure our ailing society. And show a France consumed by pessimism that paths to hope do indeed exist.
