Presentation
Giovanni's escape from the galleys failed. But in a way, he was lucky in his misfortune. Summoned by the overseer Ibrahim, he recounted his entire adventure, from his being sent to the galleys of Venice. Impressed by his story, Ibrahim took him as his personal slave and they quickly became friends. Although they did not share the same religion, the two men shared a thirst for knowledge and learned a great deal from each other. But very soon, their friendship fueled the anger of those who considered Christians infidels, and Giovanni soon found himself back in the hell of the dungeons. His luck had not lasted long…
This is a sequel to Volume 1: The Master of the Abruzzo , Volume 2: The Lovers of Venice , and Volume 3: The Men in Red
