“For over forty years, I have been interested in spiritual quests and the diverse wisdom traditions of the world. Creating a documentary series for Arte allowed me to travel across five continents in search of the sacred. From Australia to Ethiopia, from Peru to Japan—via France, Turkey, Guatemala, the United States, Canada, India, and Nepal—I traversed breathtaking landscapes and met women, men, and children whose spiritual fervor and humanity deeply moved me. I photographed them and wrote down the story of these journeys to share these unique moments. This book is how it came to be.” FL
