From one world to another

“We are not going through a trivial moment of crisis, we are living through a decisive moment for the future of humanity. How can we escape from a dynamic that escapes us and a system that leads us into an impasse? We have each experienced how great the resistance to change – within us, as in the political and economic world – is. We saw the beauty of our planet, the richness of humanity, and we suffered to see them destroyed.
Yet, like so many others, we refuse to give up.
Another world is within our reach. A world based on humility, sobriety and sharing. A world where deep joys are more desired than fleeting pleasures. A more equitable, more fraternal world, more connected to the Earth. This world is not a utopia. We can all help make it happen.
But this will only be possible through a revolution of conscience.
