Theme :
Starting from the Meditations of the philosopher-emperor Marcus Aurelius, Frédéric Lenoir will explain in this evening the major themes of Stoic philosophy that can help us live in these difficult times: everything in our world is interdependent; we can be happy with little; freedom is first and foremost internal; it is the judgments we make about things that most often make us happy or unhappy; we must learn to accompany the permanent movement of life rather than resist it; let us concentrate our attention on the present moment; the concern for individual happiness must always be linked to the concern for the common good, etc.
André Manoukian, at the piano, will answer him on each essential point and will evoke the life of some great composers (Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, the blues, Keith Jarrett…).
This unique philosophical and musical show will also offer moments of improvisation and interaction with the audience.
